Nathan + Ashley, Trevor + Kari | Married | Charleston, South Carolina Anniversary Sessions.

Today’s blog post is one for the books (in my opinion!) for three reasons. The first is that it features two Anniversary Sessions which are near + dear to our heart! Couples who are choosing to intentionally celebrate the years they have experienced as husband + wife through photography — it just doesn’t get much better than that! Secondly, these sessions took place in Charleston, South Carolina … which might just be the most magical + romantic place in the country! The third, final, + BEST reason why today’s post is so special is because it features two couples who we absolutely cherish.

We met Nathan + Ashley Siner first — at a Christian-based marriage conference for couples who are in the business of photography together. I mean, how specific + cool is that?! When we first went to the conference two years ago, we were actually engaged, + Nathan + Ashley reached out to us + took time to get to know us. It made us feel really valued + special, + we kept in touch with them after the conference. These two run their business, The Siners Photography, out of Indianapolis, Indiana. They are also rock star parents to two adorable kiddos, Zeke + Ella.

I met Kari (who is married to Trevor), a year after we met the Siners at another Christian-based conference for women entrepreneurs + creatives. We were assigned to be roommates + I think God had a plan for that because we instantly connected + realized we had so much in common. Even though we were only at the conference for a couple of days, I left feeling like I had known Kari for a really long time. And even though I had never actually met Trevor at that point, I left feeling like I knew him too! Trevor + Kari are a husband + wife photo (KariMe Photography) + video (740 Films) team based in Columbus, Ohio!

During our time in Charleston for the Rising Tide Society Leader’s Retreat, we stayed at an Air B&B with these two couples + my favorite memories from our trip are hands down, time spent with them. Whether it was dinner out, or sitting on the floor in the hallway chatting about life, business, family, + faith … I am so thankful for the time we had with them — and just wished they live closer! Luckily we will get to see them again in May as we are all heading back to the Marriage Retreat!!

Next week I’ll be sharing more pictures from our time in Charleston, as well as some tips on traveling in Charleston, but for today, enjoy some of my favorite portraits we were able to take of these two couples while there!! Love you guys!!!
