This quote by F. Scott Fitzgerald could not be more perfect for the couple on the blog today.

Skylar, it is so obvious that Laura thinks you are the finest + tenderest person she has ever known. The way she looks at you–how she admires you–it truly took my breath away during our time together. I could not stop watching her look at you!! And Laura, I have no doubt in my mind that Skylar thinks you are the loveliest + most beautiful person he has ever known. The way he steals your hand (and heart), to guide and protect you–and the way he holds you and ever so gently kisses your forehead, it is beauty manifested to those you surround : ) Photographing you two was really, truly unlike anything else I have ever photographed. So calm, gentle, sweet … real. You were lost in each other + I was lost in you!!

My hope is that these images would uplift + encourage anyone reading today–to take time to actively love those around you who matter most. Take time. To go out of your way, let them know how much you love them, in fact, show them how much you love them. I am changed by my time with these two–as an artist, a wife, a friend, a person in this world! Love changes us at our core. So be change. And be changed. -M

Skylar + Laura actually came all the way from Arizona to have their engagement session in Wisconsin because they wanted a change of scenery + the beautiful fall colors everyone raves about in the Midwest! I’m SO glad there was still some color on the trees!!

Such a gorgeous couple!!!

And THEN the sun peeked out!! For about a total of 5 minutes, but we soaked up every last second!! These two experienced true Wisconsin CRAZY weather–clouds, wind, cold, rain, sun–all in a matter of two hours!!

Absolutely STUNNING.
